RUN HARD CLUB
Sponsor: Emily and John Small ([email protected])
When: Tuesday and Thursday afterschool 4-5pm
Where: The track behind the school.
Run Hard is a running club for students in grades 2-5 that trains them to run a 5K. This club helps develop stamina, character, as well as healthy lifestyle skills.
STUDENT COUNCIL
Sponsor: Erin Rosenthal ([email protected]) and Hilary Torres ([email protected])
When: 9-16, 10-7, 11-4, 12-9, 1-13, 2-10, 3-10, 3-10, 4-21, and 5-12.
Where: Mrs. Rosenthal's classroom from 4-5pm. Parents will pick up students in the front of the building at 5.
At EES, Student Council is comprised of four elected officers, as well as two nominated members of each fourth and fifth grade classroom Under the guidance of the co-advisors, students will represent the school with ideas and interests that will benefit EES. As a way to give back to others, our council will sponsor two community service projects during the school year.
BETA CLUB
Sponsor: Tarynn Josey ([email protected])
When: Twice a month on Monday.
Where: Courtyard or Mrs. Josey's room 604.
The National Beta Club is an honor society for students in 4th and 5th grade. It recognizes academic achievement and encourages service in the school and community to help develop character and leadership skills.
GOOD NEWS CLUB
Sponsor: West Acres Baptist Church
When: Monday afterschool 4pm-5pm
Where: Evans Elementary school gym
Good News Club is an after-school Bible club for students in Kindergarten-fifth grade.
